I've used Aurora's Sure Step in the past but have seen some info about Woody Wax for non-skid not being as slick.

Has anyone used these products that can give a comparison? Are there other products out there that you like better?

Thanks

I don't wax my non-skid. Sounds like it would defeat the purpose of it being non-skid.

Woody Wax is "stickier" but does not last as long.

I use Woody Wax and find it very easy to apply. I do not rewaxing during the year. It goes on with a wet brush. A little goes a long way. I have recommended it to other boaters at the marina.

I gave up on Woody Wax because it just did not last very long. I went back to waxing the nonskid with regular liguid wax -easy on, easy buff off. Yeah...slippery as hell, but we make sure to wear good gripping boat shoes to compensate.
Oh, yeah...this is why I tried Woody Wax first:

Woody Wax doesn't last as long as Aurora. We keep our boat in a covered slip.
I had to apply Woody Wax about 4 times a year. Aurora only once a year. I am
not sure how many times one would need to apply if not in a covered slip.
Neither was hard to apply. Woody Wax was in a spray bottle, Aurora was in a
plastic jar type container. Both you put on with a brush and both prevent
slipping, even when wet.
We use the Aurora because we only have to apply once a year. We also keep our
boat in the water and boat year round.

Thanks for the input. I may give Woody Wax a try since our boating season only from April (if lucky) to October and our boat is kept in a pole barn when not in use.

I do mine with Meguairs Flagship, the same thing I use on the rest of the boat. It doesn't seem to make it slippery and Flagship is a polymer so it bonds with the gel coat.
