My father-n-law just donated a 20 scout, ccenter console, 175 oceanpro, t-top, gps, radar, fish finder, and all accessories. The boat has a total of 106 hours. He is a river boat pilot and he did not use the boat. I cleaned the boat with simple green, automotive soap, and a scrub brush to start the cleaning process. The deck of the boat has a chalky finish. I am assuming it needs a good waxing. He has gotten a new cover for the boat which I need to pick up. I think he used the cover once. My question is, what step should I take first? Do I need to apply a cleaner wax then a wax or just apply a good wax. Also, what would be a good wax that has a long life? Thanks
