Has anyone used this stuff? The price difference makes it worth considering. I use the ablative type.

I used it for the past 2 years it does the same job.i live on long island and my boat is in the water from late april til late september.

I've also used West Marine paint and it's worked as well as any other. I bought ablative this year and if the weather ever cooperates I'll be able to use it!

I have used this paint for last 9 years. put it on light, one coat. Holds up fine all year, april to sept. when they haul the boat they pressure wash it. after they block it i pressure wash some more. the first coat of bottom paint on the glass is the typical medium blue color, then each year I repaint with black. when I pressure wash I wash until the blue just starts to show thru, this way I dont tend to get the buildup of old paint. Six coats of black on it now and I can still see the blue. GOOD CHEAP PAINT

The guy at our local WM said that their house label was being made by Interlux but now they have switched to Petit. I found this out last week when I went looking for a quart of brown for my old Carver. It used to be avail. in the house label for under $40. Not any more! Interlux makes it and now I am back to spending $75.00 / Qt for the CSR Micron stuff. Just to touch up every 2 years or so.

Agreed, good paint for the $. I think that Petit might be a little harder than Interlux which I would be willing to try if the color was available.

I've used it back in the Interlux days. Both Interlux and Pettit make 1st quality marine products.
