I like back bay fishing too. You never know what will come up on the line. Great variety.

Today in a couple of hours I got about 12 mangrove snappers and 3 sheepshead in Jewfish creek. At least 8 of the snappers were keepers, over 10". Saturday was about the same plus a crevele jack, 17" long. They fight like heck. I thought I hooked a Buick. Took a while to land him.

I unwrapped early March last year, as I recall it was not the best choice. Hindsight twenty-twenty.

Those Crevalle Jacks pound for pound give you a great fight. Amberjacks too......

Yes. I remember helping you shovel the snow off your boat and trying to straighten the frame for your canvas. Fun times indeed.

As I recall you didn't just help you did! My back was in bad shape you were a God send. This year I will wait or at least try to:)

LOL count me in! I can't wait to see your new sail boat:)

New to this forum and since it's about inland waters, anyone planning a trip on the Canal System this coming season, last year we did a trip from Seneca Falls to Inner Harbor of Buffalo, about 320 miles round trip, and starting to think about where we want to go this year.

We did the canals a number of times, both the Erie and Champlain. It's a great trip, just a bit slow. Have you ever thought of going up the Oswego Canal and heading to the 1000 Islands? We went through them once and loved it.

Happy anniversary Butch 40 years is a big milestone!

Thanks Dave, we actually have to wait till the 19th to complete it. We were at an early new year party and they had a cake for us for an early celebration.

40 years is big accomplishment congrats. We celebrated out 25 this year and thought that was a big deal:)

Was up visiting all the marinas the last two days and saw no one. I don't understand it.

I was there Saturday and last week, I also have enough boat parts in my garage so I do t have to get ann the way to the marina to get a fix! Want to touch my swim platform?
