When does Sailors Haven open?

It is really up in the air where we may end up. We are now leaning towards Atlantique. It may be easier for my wife to get the (“Female”) lap dancer to come by ferry. Sorry Don, I am sure you look “sooo sweeeet” in your thong and Sea Ray wet T-Shirt… [:-magnify]

Watch hill filled up for us beamy guys wed nite....

So we made to sailors last nite ( thursday ) at 10:30 pm....

As of 10:45 am ... got some slips ... noting large ... nothing bigger then 14...as i type this

I will be one of those crazy boaters that tries to make Zach's bay for the day to watch the flyboys and then come back late in the day hopefully after all the loonies have left. I originally thought about going out the JBI and hanging out in the ocean to watch them but have never been in the deep blue yet and not quite sure I have the propellers to do it if you get my drift.

Happy Birthday. It was good meeting you, your wife and the others at Atlantique a few weeks ago.

We are going to try Watch Hill, Atlantique and a few other places this weekend, but will probably wind up back at the AYC. We need to be near land since this is our first overnight with our 8 month old dog "Rocky". Otherwise we would just drop the hook...

Wow, guess it was a good thing I changed plans. Was originally going to go to Watch Hill for Memorial Day weekend and then got invited to go on a fishing charter out of Quincy Massachusetts so decided to do that and wait till after the holiday for WH. Turned out to be a nice weekend, spent Friday in Boston, fished Saturday and then went to a friend's place on Cape Cod and headed back this afternoon. Gorgeous weekend! Hopefully will get in at WH 2 weeks from now.
 
Louis, we had 28 keeper flounders between the 5 of us up to 18", plus one keeper cod and a haddock. We also released a lot of real small striped bass. Quite a few big flounders in the 17-18" range. We were supposed to do a half day on cod but that was real slow, just a handful of shorts so we ended up switching over to flounders earlier in the day then planned.

I got the call wed nite... they had nothing apparently people dumped there boats the week before... ur allowed 14 consecutive days

Guys PLEASE note the entrance to sailors is incorrectly marked. U want to go WEST of the first set of entrance bouys ... So ur outside the red bouy on the first set!!!! I just figured it was real shallow then the ferry came in out side the channel... They ferry captain siad they moved the channel markers 3 x this this season... So just beware....

14 consecutive days but someone has to be on the boat every night... Hopefully it won't get worse with people just leaving their boats there ahead of time.
 
There not enforcing the have to be present thing. ( last few years they didnt care , So im told ) With the resturant opening its only going to get worse..

Yeah, I guess they have no incentive to enforce it, boats at the dock mean more $$$ no matter what. Sucks though for everyone else...

I just bought 2 new hoses for my dock :)
 
Rob thanks for the information on the SH entrance, hopefully they will adjust them soon or non BE LICC boaters may have an issue.

Had a great weekend on all fronts, spent time with friends at the LIYC on Friday night., the “no see em” gnats did stink. We had our commission day ceremonies early Saturday, ended up at Atlantique in a good slip Sat afternoon, and met some nice boat neighbors. The wife gave me some great birthday goodies including a high tech mini digital camera, making my old 4 pix digi/brick look like a model-T. Great dinner at Mathews, great weather… When we got back to the club on Monday early PM, some friends did the B-day cake and cards thing for me… overall I got to call this birthday a 10!!! [:-party] May have to wait another 50 years to top it…
 
I forgot to mention I saw Liquid diet at sailors.....
