Sometimes they even come closer into the bay, just past the Wantagh bridges and sun on the marsh/ sand just east of the bridges and channel. You can see a good 30-50 of them, but it's too early for that now. Happens a later in December/ January.
With the ice on the buoy, I figured those pictures are from last season. Depending on weather, I will be taking a cruise with family to see seals this weekend. Thanks,,
Rob is right... I have seen them between the bridges in the past. Sometimes, they even sneak closer, sunning on the sandy beaches just east of the Sloop Channel/ Wantagh Parkway bridge. Awesome sights.
