They sell brushes in soft, medium and hard. What do people use the three brushes for? If all I want to do is the non-skid deck surface is a soft one good enough?.

I use a soft brush on my non skid when it is pretty clean(usually). I have a stiff brush I use if it's pretty dirty and the soft won't do it.

I am a big Shurhold fan, and I use a white stiff brush on non-skid, and a yellow on the rest of the boat, and also use a blue on canvas, and even the strataglas, if it is really dirty. Their pole is sometimes a pain with the pin lock, but I have never had one of theirs' fail, and all the other attachments they offer are easy to store, and only have one pole.

There are two yellow heads; a soft and a medium.
Blue (super soft) = isinglass
yellow (soft) = washing everything
white (hard) = nonskid only, stay away from smooth fiberglass
