I am wondering if wet sanding, followed by compounding and waxing would remove shadowing from where old decals were? My boat is a 1997 Cruisers, and my fear is that wet sanding may expose a lighter colored (whiter) gelcoat and make it looks worse than it does now.
Any opinions? Has anyone done this to remove shadowing?
