I've been thinking of building a wood Jon boat.
We have a lot of guys on this forum who've owned and struggled on an intimate level with Wood boats.
I wonder what sites you wood boat guys would go to for something like this Plywood Jon Boat effort?

My boat is gonna be about 12' long, maybe more, but its going to be wide and not tippy at all. I also want to row this boat instead of use a motor, but I'll have my Rude 3.5 on there from time to time.

I'm thinking about all this. I've not generated enough interest in my head, to get my feet going yet!

The dimensions of a Deep/Wide (DW) are good. That is not a "tippy" boat.

I've alerted a SF Bay & Delta poster, Delta Dawg, to this thread. He has a lot of experience building wood boats.......

Opps, he doesn't have an anchor, so he can't read this thread..... too bad.
 
You need an anchor to read detailing and fabrication forum?
 
I see KnottyBouyz (rick) on another wood boat forum. He's quite the knowlegable guy.

I'm getting to be pretty unsteady. I had to swim the Skiff out of the middle of a lake last summer. I dont want that to happen again.
Still I dont want to put that skiff up for sale yet. What the heck is the matter with me?

That looks good and Glen-L plans are normally well spoken of by the users.

Mine's gonna be a little different. I wish I could get proficient at the Drawing programs so I could put my thoughts on paper.
I'd send that to all the Designers and see what they have to say.
Sometimes designers make the simplest drawing they can, because that would normally suit everybody.
Mine's gonna be a bit more complex. Who knows, maybe it's already been designed and that guy hasn't seem my request yet!!
