Anyone still NOT in?

Rommer, thanks for your help, I just got the call, the boat is fixed!! I'm struggling not taking the afternoon off and putting it in TODAY!! This not getting paid for time off has its downside. I'll shoot for Saturday.

For anyone still listening, I put the rest of the zincs on, the plugs in and topped off the batteries. Hoping for a launch of tomorrow if the weather attorney can pull some strings.

We're getting ready to haul it out for the winter!

Ouch!

This is the earliest the marina has been ready in years....figures my boat was on the disabled list!

Mike, I just called Pennybridge and while they were suprised that I, excuse me "YOU" wanted to come out for the winter, I made up a story about wanting to clean the props with some prop wash you ordered from Sib. You should be hauled by this afternoon. No need to thank me.

Don't know who put Hogan in charge of weather... But if things don't change this weekend YOUR FIRED . :}

Pennybridge web cam is the coolest, cruised by on tues. & Bernadette watched me go by from work while I was playing hooky from work.

It's that freakin' moron Algore's fault...

So thats why I saw Mikes boat in the slings. I was wondering what work he was gettig done now..

Yep, I used about 2 gallons of fuel this season, didn't break anything and pumped out once - not bad at all!

In truth, I'm having them pull the engines out and installing a mast and a larger keel. I'm turning what was the engine compartment int a huge walk in cooler, filled with ice cold beer.

Since I can't afford fuel, I figured I'd become a blow-boter, especially with all the wind we'be been having the past couple of years.

Chris, you just gotta know where the camera points, and stay away from there!

The LAST Thing I want at my marina is the ability for my wife or boss to see if I was there!

No thanks!

Mike didn't Al Gore invent weather before he invented the internet?

H m m...pull the motors install a giant cooler.... sounds like a good idea,I'll tow you around for free beer.never thought i'd hear a lawyer cry about the price of gas, with what my guy charges over the years i've paid off half his boat & must have sent at least one of his kids to law school by now.
No sympathy from me on that one Hogan , round - em up for a cruise upstream next weekend I'll buy a few rounds :) you can cruise nice and slow to save on gas.
Walshie I think Bernadette is happy to see me go by on the boat cause I'm not home & she can spend my gas money shopping away.

Later, Jon

I'm willing to bet there is still some good booze on the boat. He couldn't have finished it all that quickly could he?

Anyone gonna be out there sunday if it doesn't rain too bad ? plan is to fish in the morning & hang on the hook and BB-Q with a few beers in the afternoon staying local around Haverstraw Bay area company is always welcome....

Dan i'll take that bet , if I see Hogan sunday me and the crew will ask him if he needs help finishing some of that "good booze" your talking about. If its gone we can offer him some warm beer for his new giant fridge it should be easy to spot his sunrunner now if the sails are up :) Jon.......

Where is everybody gave a few shouts on 68 69 & 13 no response... ???
Didn't check the bull line mud hole kind of boring just sitting there on the hook after the long winter I gotta cruise around a bit.
Guess no one is planing for Roundout next weekend ??? Nice & cool up there this time of year , good BBQ weather , not may bugs yet this early,CAN'T TWIST ANYONES ARM HUH come on guys I said I'll buy a few rounds up there any takers ?

aw well at least Freedom will be there...., maybe get to say hi and meet Pete if he doesn't change his socks and shoes I might be able to recognize him :)
LATER GUYS - Jon........

Everyone can rest easy now, my boat is in the water. Saturday morning was a bit windy so we aborted mission and went in on Sunday. Man, I can't believe how smooooth the boat runs with two new shafts, two cutlass bearings, one new strut and reconditioned props. It's like a very different boat!! NOW I know what GOOD feels like so I can tell next time when I have a problem.

It's been a long road but it has a happy ending!

We stayed on the boat all day, kids fished, company came down, we hung out and enjoyed ourselves!!

Good to hear your in and ship-shape , I know the feeling had a few last min. repairs myself this yaer, happy boating season Walshie, now lets hope Hogan can get the weekend weather straightend out & we will be all set:).---Jon---
