Buff Magic and Pro Polish

I have used a HF for a little while, it didn't last very long with my business but it would be a great tool for the DIY guy who doesn't use it very often. You can buy 3 or 4 of them before you equal the cost of a dewalt so its a great value. If your boat doesn't have very much oxidation you can get away with a Meguiars or 3M cleaner wax and always just use some meguiars flagship to protect it even longer if you would like.
 
Believe it or not, I've had this HB Buffer for probably 8 years now. This is the first time I was brave enough to use it on my boat but previous to this I used it on my Suburban and my wife's Tahoe and now Pathfinder on a regular basis. Probably the best $30 that I ever spent.
 
HF buffer is on sale again for $30 with the coupon. Just got the flyer today in the mail. going to buy one tomorrow.
 
Third year with the HB Buffer, I think it is a fantastic tool for the money. Buff Magic is working even better this second season.

370 Motoryacht, my experience with Buff Magic & Pro Polish were similar to yours and Kenny’s. I like the performance of BM and initially the PP, but the PP did not last on the hull. I use a Fein rotary buffer for the BM (may need to slow down based on your advice)and a Portacable orbital for polish. Prior to this I have always used Meg. 50 and Flagship but have been disappointed with black streaks after the rain. The Pro Polish seemed to streak much less but did not have the same longevity especially on the hull which is done once a year. I did a search for Opti Gloss and had no luck, could you point me in the right direction to find more info on that product.

Opti Gloss is pretty hard to find, I would just keep your eyes open. I order it from a distributor.
 
Sounds like the old owner of Yachtbrite is starting up Opti Gloss?

Opti Gloss has a product called Serious Shine, that is the same name as Yachtbrites product.
 
I think there may be ads for Opti Gloss in a sail mag called "Latitudes and Attitudes"
 
Opti Gloss was around before Yacht Brite. Buff Magic is actually produced under several different names FYI.

All Opti Gloss products are the same formula that Yacht Brite was BEFORE Shurhold bought them out and changed the formula on different products. The Serious Shine by Opti is the old formula that Yacht Brite was originally.

Opti Gloss products were around before yacht brite so every product that yacht brite has Opti Gloss has. Opti gloss actually has a few different compounds too that are stronger, less abrasive, and a swirl remover. Let me see if I can go about getting some from the place I get mine. You have to be a distributor to buy from the place I get mine. I can get cases of Serious Shine, 5 Gallon buckets of Buff Magic, 5 Gallon drums of Serious Shine to use in a pump sprayer etc.

Its hard to find because there is really no marketing department for it anymore. If you want the old Serious Shine formula you can look into VooDoo Ride Mojo. It is the same as serious shine and owned by the old owner of Yacht Brite except it comes out in foam form instead of a spray. I use it sometimes and I see no difference!
