Is it Spring yet?

Not anymore, it's empty! maybe time for another. The throbbing is beginning it's time for something. I have never be a great typist but this is even harder less one finger. I have noticed I keep hitting e instead of r and f instead on g. This too shall pass.

I can't wait to be back in the water and relaxing at the dock the mere thought brings a smile to my face.

Damn, That looks bad! I mean, having you glass empty.

Hope you feel better.
Oh, by the way, when working on sealand hoses, you need a heat gun. If you use a razor blade you may cut yourself trying to get them off. Hope that hasn't happened yet.

I have the heat gun and the tube cutter on board I just figured it would be easier to cut the old line and split it off the the barb I was clearly mistaken.

First, maybe it's not the finger that's causing the missing key strokes, maybe it's the T&T.

Second, I have one of these and use it to help break the seal between the hose and barb.

Third, Feel better!!! Nothing worse than an injured digit as you are trying to work with your hands

Buffmagic and Rejex I like many here have a 7" buffing wheel. It's a big job and takes a lot of time but it gets easier each year. I have done my boat every year since I have owned it. If you would like you can came and do my boat this year I will teach you how and then you will know how to do yours when you are done with mine:) If you do a good job I will even lend you the buffer.

You are too kind Dave, I really appreciate it!! :-) thanks for the info.
Is it a single application material or do you have to go over it with different types of pads?

It's a single material but by design as it is applied it becomes finer. Sometimes it may take several applications to really do the job. I definitely takes practice using the wheel to get a feel for it. You don't want to use to much paste or it will just gum up the pads. Rejex is not a wax it is a polish. There must be a hundred threads on this topic from people that know far more then I about this it may pay to do a search and read up on it. I will see you next week I would be happy to tell you about it then. I love to way it looks on the hull this said I may wax above the rub rail this year.

Mothers wax. One coat cleaner wax. One coat regular wax. I have several machines but do not use them. I will be happy to lend them to you. I prefer to do it by hand.

Thanks Hank. I might just take you up on that and save $200 on the machine.

Hank it is easy to wax a new boat that hasn't had a chance to oxidize you never keep boats long enough to deal with this! Older boats take much more work to maintain the shine and one step wax by hand just doesn't cut it! Over the years I have tried many different products the buffmagic really does a great job of deep cleaning the hull the Pro-Polish is OK but the Rejex works much better. Bellow the rub rail remains looking great all season however above the rub rail where it takes a beating from the sun I find it doesn't hold up as long as I would like, so I may try a wax this year but only from the rub rail up. I find it easier to do another coat of one step wax mid season or even a couple times during the season in the areas it needs it. I may have a few spots gel-coated when they finish up with the touch ups this season if it fits in my budget if so it will be a bit easier to maintain going forward.

Another gorgeous day on the water today!

Quiet day! I guess everyone must be out boating, well at least thinking about boating anyway.

Thinking about my busy week at work.

Boat thoughts will come in due time.

Now is not that time for me, I wish it was.
