Lesson #1- Never remove your boat cover while its snowing!

I always thought the early bird gets the worm. I guess this doesn't apply here:(

At least the lingering winter has bought me a couple more weeks to finish my floors.

What doesnt work for some people does work for others John! :-) At list someone benefit from this stinky weather!!! Lets see what happened a next week!!! Snow, hale, or just rain, regardless it's too cold to do anything.

Let it snow...... I'll be back April 15th. Aloha away...Aloha away......Here comes Waikiki Beach! 6 more days and counting!

Allen,
Thanks! Graffiti? Nice, that means someone will be taking off my shrink wrap while I'm away. There is a god!

Lol, just kidding. Enjoy, your boat is safe as we are all so crazy and check on it every weekend. :-) have a great time.

Looks like I'm going to need to make a temporary support for my canvas with this impending weather. Not sure what to do. I could prop strips of plywood under the canvas supported by 2x4s or I could remove the canvas and build a frame and try to tarp it, option three is remove the canvas install my helm cover and then just cover the the cockpit using tarps but just lying the on the service not support them on a frame. What do you recommend Yes I know I should have waited to pull the cover but I can't change this know so what do you suggest to protect the boat for this impending storm.

Current forecast 1-3' of snow

If the storm comes north a bit, we could get up to 12".

Use a couple of 2x4's to hold up your frame. In the future, don't uncover so soon.

The back of my winter cover was not supported at all. I told Patino to put support he said don't worry.... Well I was worried two storms ago. What I ended up doing was simple but it worked. I pulled lines under the cover from the arch to the back of the boat and from the side cleats port to starboard as well. It is like a spider web but it was strong enough to support the cover. No doubt it would have torn if I didn't do that. It was the easiest and fastest solution in my opinion. It worked.
