Boy, that marina has some good looking grub! I hope they ate at the grill...

It says boats up to 60'. I would love to have seen that yacht heading down the channel...
 
The food at what is basically a snack bar is pretty good; we had breakfast there. A local 80 ft tour boat fuels up there. I notice he backed in to the fuel dock; a tidy bit of work I must say. Our boat is 61ft LOA, 18ft beam and fit OK bow in. This place (Osprey Marina) has the best fuel price in the area with a 10 cent a gallon Boat US discount, and a very nice staff. I see they are headed on in through Myrtle Beach first thing this morning.

George. thks... we're just past Lockwoods folly and so far no issues. R18 at North Santee was no issue, we stayed on center. Even Shallotte and Lockwoods were non issue, plenty of water at low tide center channel. The Rock pile was ok... well marked but indeed you dont' want to get too far off center!

Indeed we stopped at Ospry last night, right before Myrtle Beach. GREAT stop! diesel only 3.88 (with BUS discount). very friendly staff, $1.15 dockage, goodie bag. a little tight for a 70 footer as the picture shows but this boat handles real well. the only downside is that cell reception is very weak...

Hey Pascal, I know you've answered this before, but what type of camera if the HelmCam? The quality is pretty good.

i have no idea where he is, but he just went past a bridge that was pretty damn cool....i never saw a bridge that spins open as opposed to raising!
 
CT river has one if you go up far enough. Chester area.
 
We have a few swing bridges in the Delta. The one I use the most is on Connection Slu on the southern side of Mandeville Island. The bridge is owned and operated by the Mandeville Island owners.

Most of the bridges on the Harlem river open like that.
 
2PM, Blue windows??

swing bridges? not too many in Florida (except Titusville) but a few in the Carolinas. We even got a barge bridge north of Myrtle beach...the bridge is on a barge which swings out of the way. interesting...

The boat has a pair of big Furunos display with C Map NT. POS !!! they are missing a lot of info and are near useless. for instance, flashing red and greens are all shown in red... real fun! numbers aren't shown on the screen either (yes, i tried to adjust various options)... you have to use a trackball to get the cursor on the item, then press 3 keys to find the number. real convenient... Paper chart a must with such POS chips. I don't know if more recent chips are better, I hope so.

Steve, I'm using a Logitech Quick Cam, i dont 'see the model nr on it... it's a newish one with a pretty decent Carl Zeiss lens which can capture at 640 pix. wide.

We're off Topsail NC tonight, at a nice marina called Harbor Village marina. Not a lot of room but bigger than yesterdays!

I had an issue wiht my USB cable today, the GPS was off line most of the time...
