5th picture down - is that a dog on the hardtop of the boat that pulled up next to them?

Sure looks like there's a pug or a JR up there on the top ITK.

Thanks for the ride P, N and N. May we have another please?

All I can say is that was soooo Sweet. I missed the last day but I caught quite a few other good days, The warm ones!

Pascal,

Ditto all the good comments.
This has to have been the best thread, EVER !
Could be nice magazine article.
Thanks for having us all along.

RWS

Congratulations Pascal. There's nothing better than doing a whole mess of boating. Especially with someoone else's wallet :D

Pascal -

Just got back on the island. Think I saw the M/V Charmer from the plane a half hour ago. I'll be downtown (first stop, Gazebo bar) in an hour or so. I'll give you a call.

Mike/Pascal:
Just returned from ACK to Cotuit. Sorry I missed you guys. I tried looking for you on the docks. Saw the boat but had no internet access and did not have your cell number. Pascal If you need a ride from the ferry or if I can help on the Cape side let me know. (508)566-0605.

Ted

Having made a day trip to RI today, I got home this evening and see the night shots of the harbor. It feels like the lights have been turned out on the web cam. I will miss it!

This has been a wonderful adventure. Nancy, many thanks for making it possible, and best wishes for innumerable delightful hours on your beautiful new boat. Pascal and Naomi, thank you for the technology and the good humor. And thanks to all of your for letting all of us come along for the ride.

Nancy

Mike:
Too bad I just missed you took the 7:20 high speed. S/V Spray is my brother's. She is the one I race on- took first in our division on Sat. Figawi. Did you meet up with Pascal/Naomi? I have not heard from them so they must have their travel plans covered.

Pascal/Naomi: As the others have said this was perhaps one of the best threads I have seen. Truly great fun.

I agree best thread ever. I have wanted to make that trip forever and thanks to Pascal I have and didnt even use much fuel. :)

Pascalg,
It has been six years sience I last did the run between Florida and New England. You have reminded me of the all the fun we had, maybe it is time to do it again. Thanks for the great ride.

John

P: might be a nice idea to show Nancy how to stop the boat from sailing around on a mooring.

yep, it is howling today in Nantucket! 20 kts with chop and some whitecaps in the harbor... the sailing around the mooring is great, the view changes and what a view it is! I've been to many places but this places is incredibly beautiful, definitely the St Barths of the North East!

we rented bikes yesteday and went riding around the island. it was too cold to swim at the beach, although we went in knee deep... and met a cute little seal who was popping his head up wondering who was crazy enough to even touch the cold waters...

Last nite we had dinner here on the boat with Mike (November Charlie) and had a great time. yet another very nice RO!!!

Naomi left earlier today and i'm staying till thursday to finish a few things on the boat. I have to call Magnum becasue the remote panel is not talking to the inverter, it's only showing voltage, amps in and amps out but state of charge, AH remaining, etc.. are not shown. I also need to check with the watermaker installer to see why we're clogging the pre filters (25 and 5 microns) so quickly.

Otherwise, it has been an uneventful trip, with no mechanical failures or issues except one leaky genset strainer (pinched seal).

The cam is going to stay up till thursday then it will be back to the regular view at the helm of my boat.

Pascal, glad to hear you are sticking around. Did the gasket material work that we got?

Wind was howling up here today. I took some friends out in Greenwich Bay, coming back we still got soaked. only 2-3 feet but heavy wind spray.

yes... I had to pull the strainer off to properly fit the gasket but it worked fine...

Pascal,

Finished Figawi on Saturday. We picked up a mooring at the finish. As I look around, I spot a boat that looks familier. You were about 2 moorings over, puttering around with something on the tender. Small world. I would have said hi but the rest of the crew was in a hurry to go drinking.

ITK... Yup, that's a dog on the cabin top of the Nantucket Moorings boat. Little pug. We asked the guys on the boat and they said once in a while she even goes in the drink.

Wouldn't it be cool if GeeBee or one of our other pilot buddies mounted a helm cam?
