PBM/HM/SPBM/MYC/Bowline

60% over and its very much worth paying for.
Keeping the second largest investment i ever made in a safe protected marina= priceless!!!

Allen when they see your post, they will double your rate.

And if you use the 22' rate, Haverstraw is cheaper.

Do you think they would notice?

Notice? Hell they measure every boat and will adjust rates based on the LOA that they measure vs what you tell them.

You may slide for a while but eventually they will get ya. I remember one year a 48' foot boat behind us on the dock was measured to have an actual LOA of 52 feet and the person was back charged for the difference. Not saying the marina is not within their rights to do it but we all know a boat has 2 lengths, what we tell the marina/resort and what we tell people at the bar! ;)

BTW - I used the 46' foot rate because that's the rate that I would have to pay. The next rate class down is still a 53% increase over PBM.

When people at the bar ask me how big the boat is i add the 10.8 feet from the dinghy!!!
When HM office asked me how long the boat is i said 440 express, they messured the boat when it was hulled out for the winter and i got a call feom the office. They were very nice and polite and told me the boat was measured at 48.7
I said i know.
When came down to the office to pay the bill Bob the GM said we will go in the middle. Works for me, they were very nice about it, i was happy to pay, i keep the boat there in the winter as well. Feeling safe on asphalt! :-)

Worked out well for me. I have a 36' boat that measures 40'. I have a 40' finger so eiter way it was the same price as you pay for whichever is greater. It's clearly spelled out in their prices so nobody should complain if they did their homework. I used to travel with a guy who had the same boat but older and they called his a 34'. He would pay $2/foot less for the identical hull. We always got a good laugh about that.

We went over to Croton, Allen. PBM charges $70/ft, which includes electric, water & wifi

$70 per foot is a great deal I can't disagree but the stress of looking at tide charts wears quickly! The amenities at HM help make the price more tolerable I won't lie it still hurts the wallet but I feel I get my monies worth.

Down river we pay by the slip size so since I was already paying for a 50' slip we decided to maximize our valve. But thanks for the excellent advice. :)

We were docked right next to him during Sandy, at a marina that took us in without hesitation...

It's a gorgeous boat, the only flybridge the admiral has ever said that she would allow me to get.

I have not convinced her yet about the RV, so until then...
