Hello All,

I am remodeling an older boat interior that comprised mostly of nice green vinyl. The floor was easy to take up so I started working on the engine doghouse. Wasn't too hard to remove vinyl but I was left with a box that has lots of old adhesive glue on it. Not a great surface to paint or sand.
Any suggestions from someone out there on how to remove all the old adhesive and get it ready to accept paint?

Thanks.

Try 3M's General Purpose Adhesive Remover - work in small sections, soak it a bit, rub and then use a clean rag to remove the residue. It should take it off, but it may take a bit of patience and elbow work, depending on the adhesive used.

or west m.'s brand of Adhesive Remover, citrus based, works well.

A 4, 1/2" Angle Grinder,+ a Cup Brush is what the Pro's use..........

Wear a resperator,.... It gets Dusty.... But it's Quick........
