South Shore Boating

Sorry my bad....

Ok boats at ss3 for serivce ....all say a prayer....

Rob

Dave........ It didn't happen YET. He said the boat is at SS3. Give them a chance.

Made the run from SS3 to Watch Hill Sunday. Beautiful day and waters were calm. Looks like they didn't do too bad with the Nor'eastr but also looks like they haven't done much with the transient docks. Although, C & D dock have all new concrete walks and new electric stanchions. Looks like the restaurant may be ready in time for the SS23/Marinemax Watch Hill rendezvous on May 12 & 13th. Saw one green and one red buoy on the approach. Lights were on it worked out nicely. Took about 1 hour at 24.5 MPH 3700 RPM's to get there with my 40DA & gas engines. Beautiful day. Looking forward to Mother's day weekend. Hope weather is very similar to this past weekend.
Glad you made it to Atlantique and relaxed a little Robski. We all need that from time to time. You couldn't have picked a better weekend.
CYA all on the bay, Happy Boating as they say!

Dave,
My rudder backing plates are leaking ....Nothing like that sinking feeling ....

Also while poking around i found few cracks in my seawater hose for the stb motor... thats not a good thing...

but bosts hauled and blocked already... so far im very happy... theyre doing a great job...

now if Don would just shut the f up.... I can relax and not stress....

OJ... did they repair the rolling new trex yet??

And wheres this concrete ? last weekend we had sand pouring thru the bulk head.... on d dock

Did u walk to davis to see the houses ?

Unfortunately, I was there with a captain taking a boating lesson and we didn't get off the boat. Just made the run so I was familiar with where it was and then practiced some docking on B dock and at the pump out up against the bulkhead. However, new concrete looks like it is all along bulkhead walk on D dock from the first slip on your starboard side as you enter the canal all the way around the bulkhead. Right along where they put all the new electrical stanchions. Couldn't get a look at the rolling trex but it seemed like Frank and his helper(s) were working feverishly, on what I am not sure. Sorry I'm not much help, just learning you know.
Hey, I have a question regarding Watch Hill adaptor for electric. I have a dockside 50A-125V/250V to boat 2-30A-125V adaptor. Because of that 250V leg I have 2 plug prongs with little hooks in them. Will this adaptor still work at Watch Hill or do I need to get a 50A-125V (with only 1 plug prong that has a hook on it) to 2-30A-125V adaptor and forget the adaptor with the 125V/250V dockside plug?
Sorry to hijack thread.
OJ

OJ....Most of the power towers at Watch Hill need a 50A-125V adaptor.

Is your boat a 50A 125/250 inlet ? Or 2- 30A-125V inlets ?

My boat is 2 - 30A/125V inlets (boatside). I got a 1-50a/125V-250V dockside to 2-30A/125V boatside "Y" adaptor from SS3 when I bought the boat. They said that it should work at Watch Hill but I don't know now. I think that because it has that extra 250V leg prong dockside besides the standard 125V leg prong dockside maybe it won't work. Does anyone have Frank's cell phone number at Watch Hill? Maybe I can call him and ask him the question?

OJ

OJ...... you'll need a 50A/125V to 30A/125V adaptor ( Marinco #110A ) for the shore power tower at Watch Hill.....then a 30A/125V X3 ( Marinco #157AY ) Y adaptor at the boat .....to run 1-30A cord. You can also split it at the shore power tower with a 50A/125V Y adaptor ( Marinco #152AY ) and run 2- 30Amp cords....if you want. Your preference.

Thanks Don. I think I will get the Marinco #152AY single 50a/125V dockside to 2-30A/125V boatside. This way I can run everything and not have to think to much what to do. You know, being a new boater and all, the less I have to think and/or worry about the better I'll be. I will probably order it tomorrow from Marine Mate on Montauk so I will have it in time for Watch Hill Rendezvous. It's a shame you have to have a special one for them and a different one for everyone else but I guess that's what makes boating fun.

Dave, Don told me you told him you saw me. How'd I look? If you didn't know any better, would you think I was an experienced boater or was I all over the canal??!!! :-)
How's she look going out. I never get to see her that way.

OJ

OJ.....if you don't get the "Y" adaptor in time....I have a spare single 50A/125V -to- 30A/125V adaptor you can borrow......no problem.

OJ.....check e-Bay. There's a Marinco 152AY adaptor on there.....

WTF,,, why cant i borrow it...

Oj's ur new friend.. walter and I are the old flavor...

nice.....

Rob

OJ, looked good. Nice looking boat. Were you in the green shirt? Thats who I think was driving and it was fine coming out of canal.

Must be my latin look, Robski. [:-bonc01] You know how those white boys love that latin stuff!![:-jump]

Thanks Don, I'm gonna check ebay right now. If I have trouble I'll definitely take you up on borrowing one even if it's just to make Robski sizzle a little more!!! Boy, you fems really get jealous easily!! [:-cowboy]

Yep Dave, that was me in the green shirt. Thanks for the boat compliment. It's an oldie but a goodie I think. Was that you on the canal with the little young person cleaning the boat?

OJ
