Two AC Units, one pump...check valves

I have a whole year to ignore this issue, lol.

I think starboard is the perfect material, easy to work with yet strong.
 
Machine top of strainer lid to accept 1" pipe thread. Threaded pipe plug when not in use. Connect pump from bucket of AF to 1" pipe nipple
to top of strainer. Pump will over power boat A/C pump. Use tapered corks from wine bottles, to plug all but one A/C discharge outlet. When it turns pink plug that one off and unplug the next one ect. I have 4 A/C units, done this for years. Drink contents of wine bottles first.

A potentially easier long-term solution is to insert a Groco flush adapter in between thru-hull and sea strainer. Close the thru-hull, open the adapter plug on the side, feed it with a hose using either gravity or a transfer pump, turn on the AC units and AC pump until pink comes out both discharges, done.

Belay that, probably. Apparently the AC water pumps don't stand in the way of anything.

I just did our two-AC system today, still in the slip, using the Groco flush adapter (on top of the seacock, before the sea strainer) and a transfer pump.

Close the seacock. Pull the adapter plug. Replace with service adapter and hose. Connect hose to transfer pump, connect supply hose to transfer pump. ON for 3 gallons worth of AF, done.

This without the AC water pump running at all, so I deduce that the AC water pump will not impede flow in either direction. ("Deduce" in that sentence is another word for "maybe".)

The A/C pump is a circulating pump and is located below the water line. This is not a self priming pump. I use a transfer pump with 25 psi line pressure. Going directly into top of strainer. Shut off seacock. No problem over powering the A/C pump. Do this at the dock.
