Pascal, you won't need this for a couple days yet, but while I'm thinking of it...
On the way to Georgetown, coming out the mouth of Fourmile Creek Canal, stay well inside the red "18" marker as you make a HARD right close to the south bank of the North Santee River. You got to be prepared, the shoal comes out past the marker. I got a little cute and ate big mud; darn lucky we didn't go hard aground. DOH!
As you probably would anyway, if you decide to go out Little River , call TB US Calabash River as you get near, again, very helpful and detailed . There is some dredging going on there as well. Big casino boats go in and out of LI daily. Like a lot of places, there are several non charted buoys due to changing conditions. As tempting as it may be to short cut, go almost to the sea buoy before hanging a left. You have to aim to hit the Cape Fear ship channel at about Red "8"; the charted Western Banks channel is not passable.
As noted on the Cruiser Net site, the Carolina Beach/ ICW intersection has been dredged; there is still dredging going on at the turn coming out of Snow's Cut, call the dredge for passing instructions.
Hope this helps! I'll PM you my phone #, call anytime.
