Time will tell the story of how well the Affordable Care Act will work. A lot of varibles determine how much coverage will actually cost an individual/familly, but certainly those in higher income brackets will pay more and those who's income level qualifies for Government subsidies will pay substantualy less.
No doubt that the obstructionalist approach taken towards the Affordable Care Act by many of the states will have a negative impact on many uninsured who need this coverage the most( not those in the upper income bracket who may pay more but can afford to, but those who fall into the lower income bracket who are working class Americans making to much to qualify for Medicade but not enough to currently afford health coverage without the help the Affordable Care Act would provide under the Medicade expansion those particular states are refusing to indorse).
Here is an interactive map of the United States which gives an idea of what the expected premium costs could be state by state.

Of course there will always be room for improvement to the Affordable Care Act and I think most Americans would incourage efforts to make the Act better but the GOP is not interested in making it better, they are only interested in illiminating the Affordable Care Act altogether and putting absolutely nothing back in it's place to provide for affordable health care for the vast majority of the American people.
As for those employers' who would choose to drop ( or threaten to drop) their employees health care plans in response to the Affordable Care Act, it's obvious to me where their priorities lay.
I realize many on this site do not share my opinions in most matters relating to politics and social programs and I have, over many years of exasberation, tried to comunicate my beliefs in a civil and respectfull way on this site and will continue to from time to time in the future.
But what I will not do is try to change any of their positions taken on politics/social programs as they are not capable of open minded thought and discussion on politics and social programs. For me to try to have meaningful dialoge with those of this mindset would be like pissing in the wind.
So if you want to engage in debate, I would incourage you to go back to NBR where this type debate belongs and just "piss away".
