Typical liberalism. "I know you are but what am I" or "Look!! Over there, that is the bad guy"

Willie. Do you really believe any of that BS you just typed?

Republicans caused the ACA? They created loopholes for themselves? Your joking right?

“Properly calculated, my tax rate was about 30%.” I think the kicker here is "properly calculated". It probably was, but through loopholes and deductions etc he still managed to get it down to less than 15%. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/09/25/fact-check-is-romney-tax-rate-really-lower-than-yours/

Actually I find it hard to believe that Romney or any one else in his position would pay much over 15%, since the tax rate on investments is generally a lot less than the "marginal" rate.

Is it right? I can't say, I didn't write the tax law.

Time will tell the story of how well the Affordable Care Act will work. A lot of varibles determine how much coverage will actually cost an individual/familly, but certainly those in higher income brackets will pay more and those who's income level qualifies for Government subsidies will pay substantualy less.
No doubt that the obstructionalist approach taken towards the Affordable Care Act by many of the states will have a negative impact on many uninsured who need this coverage the most( not those in the upper income bracket who may pay more but can afford to, but those who fall into the lower income bracket who are working class Americans making to much to qualify for Medicade but not enough to currently afford health coverage without the help the Affordable Care Act would provide under the Medicade expansion those particular states are refusing to indorse).
Here is an interactive map of the United States which gives an idea of what the expected premium costs could be state by state.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/healthreform/map

Of course there will always be room for improvement to the Affordable Care Act and I think most Americans would incourage efforts to make the Act better but the GOP is not interested in making it better, they are only interested in illiminating the Affordable Care Act altogether and putting absolutely nothing back in it's place to provide for affordable health care for the vast majority of the American people.
As for those employers' who would choose to drop ( or threaten to drop) their employees health care plans in response to the Affordable Care Act, it's obvious to me where their priorities lay.
I realize many on this site do not share my opinions in most matters relating to politics and social programs and I have, over many years of exasberation, tried to comunicate my beliefs in a civil and respectfull way on this site and will continue to from time to time in the future.
But what I will not do is try to change any of their positions taken on politics/social programs as they are not capable of open minded thought and discussion on politics and social programs. For me to try to have meaningful dialoge with those of this mindset would be like pissing in the wind.
So if you want to engage in debate, I would incourage you to go back to NBR where this type debate belongs and just "piss away".

Tribble - I did not read what you posted with the exception of the last line. Just looking at the link you gave was all I need to know. I trust getting the truth from that site less than the national enquirer rag.

Taking it to NBR takes is Les's call. However, those liberals so willing to debate this are not members there.

I love the cry baby commercial BTW, reminds me of you TEA partiers on here. And Mr HOGAN, Liberal Kool Aide ? Hell your ilk are on cocaine or some hallucinogenic , just like you were in the last election. (I broke my own rule and came back here before the republicans find a way to squirm out from under the Tea Party hostage crisis) At the end of the day, Republicans will cave, blame it all on the president and how they voted to save the nation and are the martyrs. (more cry baby) Boehner will either resign (to save face) or be removed as speaker and a more moderate replacement put in place. Next election republicans will loose seats and the tea partiers party will be waning. You boys better find a new battle cry before next election, this one isn't playing out so well . . . .

If only you could put together a coherent sentence, I'd be able to respond...

Look how well "moderate Republicans" like McCain have fared...

lol. Hard to argue with my predictions, so when you don't know how to respond try an insult. So we'll change the subject to grammar ? You go BIG BOY :) Knock yourself out. . .
I'll play along till I get tired of your rambling as many of us on here usually do. And you'll continue to ramble because you can't help yourself. It's OK, it takes all kinds to have a democracy, you do serve a purpose.

This is the third time you promised to go away, you're like Obama, incapable of telling the truth.

Your accusation that I am "on cocaine or a hallucinogenic" just shows the depths to which you liberals will go when you can't back up your talking points with facts. Just when we think you've hit the bottom of the sewer, you manage to crawl down a little deeper into the excrement. What's next, calling me a racist?

Your 'predictions' are pure fantasy, just like your belief that Obama is competent and cares about you.

who can name the speaker of this quote?...
"Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. Therefore I intend to oppose the effort to increase America’s debt limit."

It was that guy Barack Hussein Obama - he was against raising the debt limit before he was for it.

I can play this game. Keep the insults coming. It's what you do.

Iraq & Afghanistan started under Bush, authorized by Democrats & Republicans. We are now out of Iraq.

Libya started under Obama, authorized by no one.

Attacks in Somalia started under Obama, authorized by no one.

Arab spring and subsequent killings of tens of thousands of civilians started under Obama, authorized by no one.

Syria, almost started by Obama, authorized by no one.

Notice a pattern?

Well, it is a fact that the Bush-started wars killed 6,735 American troops. For some reason, I can't find out how many American troops were killed in what you described as "Obama's wars".

As for the other anti-Obama so-called "facts", just remember that you are getting these "facts" from the same people that told you that Romney was going to win and that the polls predicting Obama ahead were fixed.

So, is it reasonable to ask if the right-wing media were purposely lying to you, or were they all unbelievably incompetent?

Waiting for your response HOGAN. Or are you having run on sentence, grammar issues again :)
tic tic tic tic

Government cannot dictate the marketplace. But politicians on BOTH parties can be bribed. Always follow the money as it will lead you to the truth. Mitt Romney made his money in private industry. How is Harry Reid rich? Where did Nancy Pelosi make her fortunes?

we are all pawns.

Actually I'm NOT for going further into debt; I'm for raising the revenue to pay the bills. However any tax increases even if passed TODAY wouldn't make any difference between now and next week, so the debt limit still needs to be increased. We can pay down the debt later and I'm all for it.

I'm not for "Oblamerscare" either; I'm for Single Payer and cost controls, neither of which are in the ACA. Why aren't they? Because the medical industry and their GOP pawns wouldn't have it. Still, the ACA is better than nothing, which is what a lot of Americans had before. They simply couldn't afford it on what they could bring home from their minimum-wage jobs. Does that make them any less hard-working or less-deserving than you?

How many business-owners on here actually pay their employees' health premiums or pay them enough to where they can buy their own? I'll bet they could actually SAVE money with Oblamerscare if they did the math.

None of what you just said makes a bit of rational sense. I pay my employees what I can. I pay them more than I pay myself. I double dare you to take the risk of starting a business. Is your solution to raise the minimum wage, increase the debt ceiling yet again, and print more money? I fail to see how any of that is logical.

Bush started wars? You mean the wars congress authorized and funded even when both houses were a democrat controlled super majority? And Afghanistan which Oweblamer campaigned on getting Americans out of?

Death toll in Afghanistan.
Bush years: 575
Oweblamer: 1576

The death toll is still climbing. And since we will have troops there until 2024 (just like Iraq) that number will continue to climb for the anointed one.

In Iraq their have been 4481 deaths. 3527 were combat related. 578 of those deaths since Oweblamer took office. Other combat related deaths around the world (well really just the Middle East) since he took office is at 213. That includes those pesky deaths in Benghazi that the f'ing Tea Party just won't let go.

I have said it befor and will say it again. If you are still supporting this POS POTUS you are either to arrogant to admit you were wrong about him or are to low information to understand he is destroying the country. Everyday that goes by more people figure it out. Unfortunately they are pissed off like we have never seen before in this country. Pissed because they realize a snake oil salesman lied to them and stole their futures. And I do believe there are plenty ready to take it back by what ever means necessary.

For people that refuse to pay admission because NBR is to political for you, you sure don't mine piling on if the opportunity presents itself in ATC. LmAO.

"Bush started wars? You mean the wars congress authorized and funded even when both houses were a democrat controlled super majority?..."

bull$*%t!!!

Here are the senate and house memberships for every Congress while Bush was in office (Jan 2001-Jan 2009).
I don't see a "supermajority" anywhere, much less a Democratic one. See for yourself.

Someone has been watching too much Faux Noise...

And as I predicted the Republican "cave in" has started. . . .Senate GOP open to CDC vote. House looks to create working group to find budget compromise.

Mr meirhofer.I respect your opinion but I disagree with you, so be it. However, I am not arrogant nor low on information, nor do I believe the President is ruining the country. As for "every day people figure it out " is a self serving statement. Similar to the pre presidential election GOP "we're winning the election" mentality, to each his/ her own thoughts.

And to paraphrase Mixman, never has a statement on here ever been so true (go up to his short, recent statement) "Always follow the money it will lead you to the truth" AMEN brotha. "We are all pawns" probably. The money in this situation being votes . . .which = $$$
Politicians are not voting their conscience, they are voting for pac money, party backing and reelection votes. Which, yep = $$$
Bad news is even if they lose their seat, yep they still reap a paycheck, $$ then take a job as a lobbyist $$.
And Mr meierhofer suggests, if you want to disagree with the Boatered Republican "Rat Pack" you have to pony up $20 bucks for an anchor to go to NBR. I chose at the last renewal deadline not to pay up because of the 'herd' mentality down there. It's like going to a Republican convention to express a Democrat viewpoint. Playing field seems a little more level up here.

Another lame liberal excuse for not supporting a site that provides more free information than you will ever need. The real reason you won't support this site is because you don't have enough self control NOT to post in NBR if you had access. So instead, you feel it's OK to break the rules and post your liberal viewpoints in ATC.

You had no problem paying the $20 to gain access to NBR when you, and the rest of your liberal ilk, were bashing GW Bush on a daily basis.

Truly pathetic...

You crack me up . . . .gettin' a little rattled there aren't ya HOGAN. . . .I bet you stay awake at night trying to think of comebacks, sorry if I rattle your cage (not really, I enjoy it immensely) Keep er comin' big boy.
Better chill before you have a heart attack :)

Actually, I don't lose any sleep over you, and am very calm.

You liberals just make it too easy with your memorized talking points, excuses and lies. The facts speak for themselves, as much as you want to deny them.

Gotta love how you try to change the subject and resort to personal attacks when you are revealed for what you really are.
